Managed Wavelength

Provides point-to-point telecommunication path between endpoints for a designated user. Service is able to carry any data between endpoints and managed 24x7x365 end-to-end. Due to wide range of applications it may serve Pantel’s MLLN service is suitable for any end-user for any telecommunication purpose. Service is available both 2,5 Gbps and 10 Gbps capacity.

Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) increases the bandwidth of existing systems by combining multiple wavelengths or lambdas onto a single fiber. Pantel offers DWDM services on all major routes. Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) is a standard for synchronized data transmission over optical fiber. Pantel offers SDH services on all routes.

A typical Pantel wavelength or SDH customer have purchased between 2 and 10 big trunk or special connections. It consists of “End to End” connections between locations or Point of Presents, so called PoPs which are customer sites or sites chosen by the customer. The customer can also co-locate his rack with equipment in a Pantel site, on a footprint which is 60x60 cm. Then power and cooling are provided by Pantel. Often the last mile fiber to the customer sites is extra purchased or built by Pantel.

Variations of wavelength or SDH services could be:

  • Single or multiple wavelength capacities of 2,5Gbit/s (STM16) or 10Gbit/s (STM64)"

Value-added services

  • Protected Solution: Fully protected solution. Protected wavelength service on backbone level
  • Semi-protected Solution: Partly protected network on the required network segments
